Juan Luis Londoño Arias (Medellin, January 28, 1994), known as Maluma, is a Colombian singer and songwriter of reggaeton and Latin urban genre.1 He rose to fame in his native country in 2011 thanks to the simple "Farandulera", and Thanks to "Obsesión" and "La temperatura" (2013), in the rest of Latin America.2 His debut album, Magia (2012), had commercial success in Colombia, 3 and a year later, Maluma was nominated for the Latin Grammy "Best new artist." 4

In 2015 he released his second studio album, Pretty Boy, Dirty Boy, 5 which entered number one on Billboard's main Latin album chart, and consists of the singles "Borró cassette", "El perdedor" and "No contract "6 In 2014 and 2015 he served as judge and trainer in La voz Kids and in October 2015 his first line of clothing came to market.1

In February of 2016 participated in the ceremony of the Lo Nuestro Prizes of the American chain Univision, one of its most important presentations live, where next to J Balvin interpreted the song Pa 'Mayté in tribute to also Colombian Carlos Vives7 and also interpreted The single "Desde que noche", in which she collaborates with the Mexican singer Thalía.8 After the success of the single and the live performance, Maluma began to be considered by the specialized critics as one of the artists of "urban music of Greater impact "in Latin America.9 10

At the end of the same year he is confirmed as an artist and jury for the Festival of Viña del Mar 2017, on the same dates in which he launches "Chantaje", his most successful single so far, in which he collaborates with the singer Colombian Shakira.
